Joon-jae disappears for a day, wrestling with the truth he never expected. He visits the sea, trying to find clarity, asking questions no one can answer. Meanwhile, Sim Chung prepares to leave, believing her presence only brings danger. She writes a note, her tears falling like raindrops on the page. But before she can go, Joon-jae returns. His expression is unreadable, but his first words shatter her fear: “I loved you before I even knew who you were.” Her knees give way, overwhelmed by emotion. He pulls her close—not caring that she’s not fully human, not caring that their love defies logic. The sea may call her home, and the world may try to keep them apart, but in that moment, they choose each other. Still, far in the distance, shadows continue to gather.
