After his acting debut in 2011, he gained early attention in the KBS2 drama Big (2012), earning two Korean Hallyu Awards for Best Male Model Advertising and Best Rookie Actor. Following a four‑year hiatus from acting due to burnout, he returned in 2016 in The Legend of the Blue Sea, which revived his confidence and reaffirmed his passion for acting.
