In the middle of the storm, Shi-jin appears—not as a soldier, but as support. He changes into scrubs, carries patients, and stays by her side. They operate together—one stitching arteries, the other calming families. The crisis brings back Urk’s urgency, but this time, they’re stronger. When a young boy flatlines, they refuse to give up, reviving him after twenty minutes. Exhausted and blood-stained, they sit outside the hospital afterward. Mo-yeon lays her head on Shi-jin’s shoulder. No words are needed. In that moment, they’re no longer from different worlds—they’ve created one together.
