Determined to analyze her strange reactions to Fang Leng, Xiaoqi creates a “Boyfriend Simulation Plan” with categorized experiments: hand-holding, eye contact, and emotional triggers. She follows a strict checklist during their day out, but her methodical approach leads to cringey and comedic situations—like grabbing his hand mid-argument and awkwardly staring at him for too long in an elevator. Fang Leng, puzzled at first, soon catches on and plays along. He even jokingly suggests she add “unexpected hugs” to her checklist. As the plan unfolds, Xiaoqi finds herself laughing—not from programming, but from genuine joy. The line between experiment and emotion blurs, and by evening, she abandons her chart and simply holds his hand—no reasons, no logic. “You passed all the tests,” she tells him.
