At age 12, she entered the Shanghai Theatre Academy’s Performance Department, where she gained early acclaim by winning first prize in a national student drama competition with her self-created sketch “Sharpening the Sword.” After graduating, she joined the prestigious China National Theatre (formerly China Youth Art Theatre).
