Song Young‑kyu (Korean: 송영규; also spelled Song Young‑gyu or Song Yeong‑gyu) was born on April 18, 1970 in South Korea. He studied acting at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, earning his degree there. He began his screen acting career in the early 2000s, debuting in film with Mr. Hong (2004), and has since appeared in a wide range of supporting roles across both TV dramas and movies, including Pandora (2016), Extreme Job (2019), Good Morning President (2009), and Unbowed (2011).
