Born on February 18, 1985 in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, Park Sung‑hoon pursued his passion early by attending Gwacheon Foreign Language High School, then earned a degree in Acting and Film from Dong‑ah Institute of Media and Arts. He began his career in musical theatre and plays, including Rooftop Room Cat and The History Boys, before transitioning into film (A Frozen Flower, 2008) and TV (Three Days, 2014).

While known for supporting roles early on (Three Days, Six Flying Dragons, Don't Dare to Dream), his breakthrough came with Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) and My Only One (2018–2019). In recent years, he’s gained acclaim for standout villainous roles: Jeon Jae‑jun in The Glory (2022–2023) and Yoon Eun‑sung in Queen of Tears (2024), with the latter earning him international recognition and “Eun‑sung” becoming a byname among fans.
