Jin Ju‑hyung (진주형), born Kim Jin‑tae (김진태) on November 24, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea, is a South Korean actor represented by Glorious Entertainment (now EL Park). He spent six formative years in Singapore and two in Toronto—his fluency in English earned him the nickname “Justin”—before returning to South Korea. Originally a promising basketball player, a career-ending injury led him to pivot; inspired by watching American Psycho, he pursued acting, training at an arts-focused high school and taking acting classes.
Career highlights:
Jin debuted in 2013 with TV’s Drama Special – Sirius, followed by roles in Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident (2013) and Blade Man (2014). His visibility grew with 2016’s Cinderella with Four Knights and especially Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, where he portrayed Jang Hyun—a member of Soo‑ho’s Hwarang clique. He continued to build his portfolio with Suspicious Partner (2017) and his first lead role in Sunny Again Tomorrow (2018), playing Lee Han‑kyul. Expanding into film, he appeared in You With Me (2017) and Live Again, Love Again (2018). In recognition, he won the Focus Award at the 2018 Asia Artist Awards and earned nominations at the 2018 KBS Drama Awards (Best New Actor) and 2023 MBC Drama Awards (Excellence, Actor in a Daily Drama).
