Jang Se‑Hyun (장세현), also known by the stage name Jang Hyun‑Tae, was born on June 9, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. He pursued higher education at Baekseok University, where he studied before launching his acting career. In March 2012, he began his mandatory military service, completing it in December 2013.

Career highlights:

Jang Se‑Hyun debuted in the 2006 sitcom Unstoppable High Kick and steadily took supporting roles across TV and film. Noteworthy early appearances include Boys Over Flowers (2009) and Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010). Following his military service, he appeared in dramas like Tomorrow Cantabile, Mrs. Cop, and Blow Breeze. His role as Kang Sung in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016–2017) marked a career milestone, where he portrayed a recruits-turned-Hwarang trainee under Ban‑ryu’s mentorship.
