Cezar Grumăzescu, born September 1, 1988 in Iași, Romania, grew up with an early passion for acting that began during high school. Enrolling in the French-language theater troupe at Colegiul „Mihai Eminescu” in Iași as a teenager, he performed in festivals in France and even won an award for interpretation in Saint‑Malo. After high school, he trained intensely for admission and in 2011 graduated from the University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest.
Since then, he has built a multifaceted career in both film and theater. He is a resident actor at Bucharest’s Teatrul Mic, and his theater credits include productions such as Medeea’s Boys, Locotenentul din Inishmore, A Douăsprezecea Noapte, Ținutul din miezul verii, and Legături primejdioase. Early on, he appeared in the Romanian film Poker (2010), followed by roles in Diaz – Don’t Clean Up This Blood (2012), Soldiers: Story from Ferentari (2017), Coborâm la prima (2018), Sabina: Tortured for Christ – The Nazi Years (2021), Imaculat (2021), Libertate (2023), and Subteran (2024).
